"EL ENCUENTRO" / THE MEETING

"El encuentro". Un hembra de rinoceronte blanco y su cría se alimentan en campo abierto, entre el pasto seco. Entonces, aparece una familia de jirafas que camina en dirección a los rinocerontes. El grupo de jirafas se detiene, pero uno de los jóvenes, se adelanta, se detiene de nuevo, observa y olfatea el aire, mientras que la pequeña cría de rinoceronte también deja de alimentarse, y observa al grupo de jirafas. En ese momento, es como si el tiempo se detuviera, el latido de la naturaleza, parece hacer una pausa para continuar un instante después. Fui testigo de este instante en Spionkop Game Reserve. En nuestro próximo Art Safari, los participantes podrán adquirir nociones básicas para aprender a captar la forma y el volumen de estos animales. En definitiva, comprender lo que ven para poder llevarlos al cuaderno de campo. Instantes como  este, serán una oportunidad para hacerlo. Para mi, la realización de este óleo, es además una manera de seguir aprendiendo sobre estos increibles animales.
